Worst crowd ever
I have been longing to see Gary Clark Jr. perform live ever since his debut album, but unfortunately, I was somewhat let down by the overall show. The loud crowd made it challenging to fully enjoy the performance. They were not your typical concert attendees; instead, they chatted incessantly throughout his set. During his rendition of “River,” I captured a video where people were engaged in full-fledged conversations around me, displaying utter rudeness. Feeling overwhelmed by the ongoing chatter near the front of the venue, I decided to relocate to the back to both escape the noise and assess the acoustics from a different vantage point. The sound quality at Rady Shell was exceptional, particularly around 20 yards away and beyond, where the music resonated better due to the speaker angles. On the contrary, being in close proximity to the stage wasn't ideal due to the speaker setup. It appeared to me that Gary Clark Jr. was not entirely into the performance, probably because of the disinterested crowd, which is understandable. Among the numerous live shows I've attended in San Diego, this one had the most disruptive audience, significantly impacting not only my own experience but also that of others who simply wanted to savor good music.
